What We're Looking For

As a consulting organization that works with a variety of clients, we truly value diversity in our JBA class. So, there's no one "perfect" candidate we're looking for. If you're a good fit for our organization, we'll invite you to our interview phase!

Our interview has two parts: we'll start with a case presentation and then move on to a classic behavioral interview. The interview will be conducted in-person with both sections being done in one session.

Case Presentation:

We'll give you one week to review a business case and submit a slide deck

During the interview, you'll have 10 mins to present your findings and analysis of the case

Behavioral Interview:

You'll get a couple of classic interview questions to tell us about yourself

At the end, you'll have time to ask questions

After all interviews are over, our executive board comes together to discuss all applicants and determine which candidates would be the best fit for the next semester!

We look at our candidates individually and as a group to ensure that we select a diverse array of candidates that can provide different perspectives and areas of expertise. Selected candidates will join our community and get ready for years of fun-filled experiences!

Recruitment Tips and Resources

We know that it may be your first time encountering some of the steps in our recruitment process. We've put together a list of tips and helpful resources to guide you through each step!

The case interview is a special type of interview commonly used in the consulting industry to gain insight into a candidate's ability to solve a business problem. For our case interview, we'll provide a case packet to interviewees one week before interviews that includes information about a business that's facing a problem. You'll get access to background information, data, and guiding questions (including brainstorming and math components) in order to prepare a short slide deck and presentation for the interview.

Our behavioral interview follows a standard interview model with questions about your background, experiences, and interest in CYC. At the end, you'll have a chance to ask us any questions you have about CYC.
